Estrada announced his candidacy for presidential election. "This will be my last performance of my life and i will not fail you", he said. His running mate is Makati mayor Jejomar Binay.
I dont vote, i dont give a crap about politics, and im not alone. This is a typical mentality of Filipino younger generation, who are fed up of these political circus that we have. Corruption and cronyism are so rampant now that any attempt to find a solution is as futile as going into the mind of the engineers of Loboc bridge to understand what the fuck are they thinking, or solving the puzzling Catalan's Mersenne conjecture in mathematics. Impossible.
I thought Noynoy Aquino can change all this. He doesnt need cronies to win. He doesnt need to grant promises to his political allies for position upgrade once he will be the president. In fact, he doesnt need them to win at all. He is not connected to any gambling figures in the country. And he is no way, not in his position to tarnish the Aquino legacy. Morally wise, Noynoy is the perfect guy for this country. His only weakness is that he is not transparent about his political agenda. What are his view on the current economy, about insurgency and almost uninhabitable places in Mindanao. His view on the growing population in the country and the Catholic church persistent disapproval of any family planning programs by the government. Noynoy is too good for a guy to take massive and risky decisions. He has no past reference for us to scale him. He is too catholic to oppose the church.
Estrada is the perfect contrast to Noynoy. Though the former (Estrada) does not merit trust and his ethics questionable, he has what it takes to implement what Noynoy is not capable of. His portfolio includes crushing Mindanao's MNLF camp where none of the past president dared to. He might be the only presidential candidate who can oppose the church. He has the ace in economic reforms, named Jejomar Binay.
The former president deserves a second chance. He has a strong quality to be a leader and he has surely learned from his past mistakes.

Such a shame, I won’t be able to vote this coming election. Either I’m too lazy to register or not a concerned Filipino citizen. Hahaha. I think I’m just lazy… :>
With the long lists of candidates running for presidency, I’m going to have a hard time choosing “the best” candidate. Would it be Noynoy, Gibo, Villar, Erap, etc., etc.? I’m not into politics, really. It’s not that I don’t give a damn, but it’s more like, leave it to those whose heart is into it. I’ll just pray that they’ll serve for our good and not for their own interest!
